Yala Peak Climbing is one of the easy peaks available which lies in the northern part of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang valley. It is categorized as grade F (easy, glib) on the Alpine classifying structure. It has unconditional natural attractiveness with the combination of ethnic riches. Langtang valley has over more than 60 glaciers of diverse extents. The leading class of the area is the Tamang community. The prettily carved wooden doorways, the traditionally constructed stone households, their inimitable clothing and the workmanship show their unique Himalayan legacy.
Located around 30 km towards the north of Kathmandu is controlled by Langtang Lirung (7,245m) which is the highest peak in the area. On the way to Yala Peak, one could grab the spectacular views of Lenpo Gang (7083m), mighty Shishapangma (8027m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and much more. The high camp of Yala peak is situated at 4800 meters from where we make our meeting bid whereas the base camp is located at KyangjinGompa (3749/12300 ft). The final 400m is on ice so using the ice ax, crampons and rope for our comfort will be better. We will be returning to Dhunche via Syabrubesi after the climb and drive back to Kathmandu.

When to Go: March - December
Day 01: Greeting at Kathmandu Airport.
After your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel. When you are done relaxing after your long flight, you will be called to visit our office for a meeting about our package. We will process for the trekking permits once we are done discussing your needs and desire for the trip to the summit.
Day 02: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley.
After your breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploration tour in the Kathmandu valley. You will be visiting the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and many places. After the visit, you will be allowed to visit the local places and get along with Nepali dishes.
Day 03: Kathmandu drive to Syabrubesi (1550m/5100ft).
Once you are done with your morning breakfast, you drive to the north-western hills of Kathmandu for around 8hrs. Along the way, you will be witnessing lovely backdrop of white snowcapped massifs like Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna 2, Ganesh Himal and other slight peaks. The views of ridgeline scenes and hills go via Betrawati, Trishuli Bazaar, and Dhunche. Later, we descend down to Syabrubesi for the overnight stay.
Day 04: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2450m).
The first day of excitement trail passes via Bhotekoshi River that flows down from Tibet following the Langtang Khola. Once you cross the suspension bridge, the trek gradually ascends to Bamboo passing. Later, the trail goes through the Sub-Tropical Forest that is covered by oaks, massive spruce, maple and blue pine. The different wildlife; wild Boars, Monkeys, Red Pandas, Yellow-throated Martens and much more can be witnessed along the way. After the safari, your trek goes up to Rimche (2400m). You will be staying at Lama Hotel for the night.
Day 05: Lama Hotel Trek to Langtang Village (3430m).
After the breakfast, your trail begins with Hemlocks, Oaks; pink and white Rhododendrons high above the Langtang Khola. The stunning view of snowcapped peaks and the outrageous view of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7244m) start to appear along the way. The track leads to a log bridge and further we come across lavish fields of Ghora Tabela (2992m). Much more can be witnessed on the way until we reach Langtang village which is surrounded by stone walls; enclosing fields where Potatoes, Wheat, Barley and Buck Wheat are planted. The wild Goats and Yaks are easy to find.
Day 06: Trek to KyanjinGompa (3870m).
In the morning, the trail goes via villages and ascends to the ridge topped by a big Chorten. Once you cross numerous minor streams; woody beam bridges and moraines, you can lastly get a view of the Monastery of Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing down from the peaks of Kimshung and Langtang Lirung. The views are exciting because of the famed Government operated Cheese factory. After the lunch, you will be exploring the area with plentiful panoramic sights of Genjempol, Ganja La (5160m), Langtang Lirung, Kyanjuin RI (4750m), Yala Peaks, etcetera.
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Kyanjin.
After the morning breakfast, we will be visiting the monastery and the cheese factory. You will also be walking up the Moraine to view the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung. Later, we ascend up to KYanjinRi (4350m) and TserkoRi (5000m) which is the highest point of the trek. There are several alternatives sided trips too. Tonight, you will be staying in Kyanjin.
Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Peak Base Camp (5732 m).
Today, we will be climbing to the first base camp of Yala Peak (5732m). This is a small exercise day. You will be spending your night at the base camp.
Day 09: Base Camp - Summit (Yala Peak) - return to Kyanjin Gompa.
After the early breakfast, we start our climbing to the summit of Yala peak with our team. It’s a great feeling when you get to the highest peak. It also offers stunning scenery from there. After some rest, we fall back to the Kyanjin Gompa for the night.
Days 10: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel.
You will be having your breakfast viewing the superb scenes of snowy capped mountains. After the breakfast, we will descend back following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and head to Ghor Tabela. After the lunch in Ghor Tabela, we will head down to the same Lama Hotel observing outrageous views of tall mountains. We stay overnight at Lama Hotel.
Days 11: Lama Hotel trek to Big Syabrubesi (2230m).
The trail falls down to the river and passes via pine and Junipers. It offers splendid views of Red Pandas, monkeys, Boar and different species of birds while on the way to Thulo Syabru. Once you get there, you will be allowed freedom to explore wherever you want. You can also watch the tremendous views of Ganesh Himal (7110m) and much more from the village. You will be staying overnight in Thulo Syabru village.
Days 12: Big Syabrubesi to Sing Gompa (3330m).
The trail leads us from Thulo Syabru which tracks a sheer mounting route passing via Dursagang (2735m). Along the way, you can grab breathtaking views of Langtang Himal; Tibetan Mountain and much more. Later, you will be passing through Rhododendron forest and meadows to the crest at Phoparng Danda (3190m). The trail ascends for a while and you reach Sing Gompa. You will be staying your night at a tea house.
Days 13: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda Lake (4460m).
The track today receipts two sectors. Firstly, the trail goes sharply up the point that symbols a transition zone in between dry scrub vegetation and moist mountain forests on the grade. Later, the trail to Lauribinayak (3920m) continues for 3hrs. You will be following a rocky trail with tremendous views to the west.
The trail ascends from Lauribinayak to alpine country above the tree line. After you cross a small ridge, you get to see the holy lake of Gosainkunda. The legend of Gosainkunda was created by Lord Shiva at the time when he impaled a glacier for water to kill his thirst after swallowing the toxic which exposed to terminate the world. During the full-moon centenary every August, many pilgrims visit there to devote and bathe.
Days 14: Gosainkunda to Ghopte (3440m).
After the visit around Gosainkunda, you start your day with a hike to the northern side of Gosainkunda and climbs on the rocky walls. On a clear day, you can see Annapurna range throughout the way. Afterward, our trail leads us sharply down to Phedi (3740m). From there, the way drops to the watercourse and ascents through the bush bamboo to the topmost. Walking down via rocky hill; Rhododendron trees, you will finally reach Ghopte where you are going to be staying a night.
Days 15: Ghopte to Tharepati (3510m).
Starting from the ridge in Ghopte, your trail slightly goes down and then begins to ascend through the Oak, junipers forest and Rhododendron up to the Tharepati. From the village, you can grasp the perfect panorama of the Langtang Himalaya. You stay overnight in Tharepati.
Days 16: Tharepati to GulBhanjyang (2800m).
East from Tharepati, the track drops down the ridge and passes through a forest with pleasure views until you reach the fascinating old-fashioned Helambu valley. Stunning mountain views, local peoples, lifestyle, customs, and culture will make you glad.
Days 17: GulBhanjyang to Chisapani (2140m).
Walking down to the PathiBhanjyang, it passes via forest. It’s a shorter day which climbs to Chisapani from where the sight of the entire central Himalaya is magnificent. You can also get a view of mountain ranges from Manaslu to Everest. Landscapes can be witnessed in the early morning and evening.
Days 18: Chisapani to Sundarijal and to Kathmandu.
After the breakfast, you start your day by hiking up the last pass of the trek in Borlang Bhanjyang (2240m). From there, you go down towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka (1800m). Outstanding views can be seen along the way at a lower altitude. Later, it’s a small hike to Sundarijal as we pass via the local water supply. From Sundarijal, you will be taking a ride to bring you back to Kathmandu.
Days 19: Free day in Kathmandu.
Today is the rest day. You can take quick walks to the market area to buy some souvenirs and stuff you would like to take with you for remembrance. In the evening, you will be having a typical Nepali dinner following different cultural shows at the Hotel.
Days 20: Farewell Departure.
Today, you are allowed to roam places that you have missed before or you can go for a shopping. After everything is set, we will be dropping you at the international airport for your final departure.
