Mera Peak climbing is one of the most popular among the peaks since it is easy to climb up. Mera peak is within Sagarmatha Zone in Solukhumbu district and lays in the laps of Himalayan ranges. The airport of Lukla is very near to this peak. Most peak climbers who really love this summit.

The elevation of this peak is 6476m (21,198 fits) from the sea level and the center height is 6461m, and a northern elevation is 6476m and the southern is 6065m. The south is very popular.

The first exploration was on the behalf of British right after by Edmund Hillary, Eric Shipton, Tenzing Norgay, and Lowe George. Many went for a summit. The French climbers who first had a summit on the northern part of Mera by B. Baus and Marcel Jolly.

Most villagers are Sherpas who usually live in the mountain areas with their own lifestyle. Your trekking starts from Lukla to many destinations. While on the way you could encounter green forests and lovely mountains.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport & Transfer to Hotel. (1345meters)
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,840 meters) Rest at Lukla.
Day 03: Trek to Chutanga (3,450m)
Day 04: Trek to Khartitang via Zatrwa la. (3,900m) 4-5 hrs
Day 05: Trek to Kothe (4,095m) 6-7 hrs
Day 06: Kothe to Tangnang (4,350m) 3-4 hrs  
Day 07: Acclimatization Day: Hiking to Charpate Himal Glacier.
Day 08: Tangnang to Khare (5,000m) 2-3 hrs
Day 09: Khare to Mera Base Camp [5300m/17,384ft]: 3-4 hrs
Day 10: Mera Base Camp to High camp [5,780m/18,958ft]: 4-5 hrs
Day 11: Mera High Camp to Summit (6,461m) and back to Khare (5000m) 8-9 hr
Day 12: Khare to Kothe (3600m) 4-5 hrs
Day 13: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4898m) 5-6 Hrs
Day 14: Thuli Kharka to Lukla: 6-7 Hrs
Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 16: Departure Day.

When is the best time for Climbing Mera Peak?


Welcome day in Kathmandu Airport 1345 m:

This day would be the first arrival day, landing in Kathmandu airport. Our staff will greet you with Nepali flower Malla at the exit hall of the airport then take you into a hotel after that you could have a rest or take a shower. Meanwhile, in your free time, our expert guide would share about Mera Peak climbing with an itinerary.

Day 1 Fly to Lukla 2700m:

Having finished sound breakfast, we will move to a domestic airport just to fly to this place. Nearly, takes 25-30 min to land on this place. Finally, all of us stay at a guesthouse in Lukla with the service of dinner.

Day 2 Hike to Chutanga 3450m:

You will trek to this destination right after breakfast, it needs 3-4 hours of walking in order to reach this place. While on the way, you would see the beautiful pine and rhododendron trees. The night resting will be at this place.

Day 3 Trek to Khartitang and Zatrwa La 3900m:

On this day, you are going to hike a slightly challenging day since you would have to trek over 1200 m by just crossing the Zatrwa La pass then reach to Khartitang. Resting hails at this place. You will have to walk for 4-5 hours.
