Baden Powell Peak is locally known as Urkema Peak, it was renamed Lord Baden Powell Peak Climbing (5,718m) in 2007. Lord Baden Powell Peak, a mushroom-shaped mountain situated in the Langtang region is one of the popular peaks to climb because it’s easily accessible to climb and not very expensive (Royalty Free Mountain) offers a perfect alternative to Imja Tse or Island Peak in the Khumbu region. Seen from the southwest, Baden Powell Peak almost looks like Ama Dablam which is situated in the Everest region. The peak was named after the father of the Scouts movement by the Nepal Government to mark the centenary celebration of the International Scouts Movement. It is surrounded by majestic peaks such as Langtang I & II, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and Shishapangma in Tibet.

The Trail to Baden Powell crest is off-beaten-track, still far from other trekking tops. Resident which you will pass is, for the most part, Sherpa and Tibetan and still in neediness, obscure with modernization. The geological structure, culture, and custom of individuals from your beginning spot to completion place are very surprising. Their language, rank, living style, facial structure everything appears to be so changed and where you will get the opportunity to realize what is Nepal and is in Nepal. Also, this is for what you are here in Nepal.
