Mera Peak Climbing is one of the highest trek peaks in Nepal above 6,400m approximately half-height between the peak of Mont Blanc and the Everest, certainly into thin air terrain. Also, the trek will show the way to the long-established Sherpa communities of the Solukhumbu and the rhododendron, blue pine forest tracks of the Hinku Valley which will be a reverse experience.Mera Peak enlarges to the South of the Everest and overlooks the striking and isolated valleys of Hongu and Hinku. The ascent of Mera Peak is followed by the Mera La pass (5415m) on the north face, which connects the valley of Hongu with the Hinku valley. As the climb of Mera Peak moves on, en-route two more high camps are put at 5385m and then a higher one at 5800m, from where the summit of the peak way up can be successfully accomplished.

Mera Peak has two diverse peaks the main one being the north peak (6476m). There are several crevasses to pass by and the way can be lengthy and challenging. The tour from Mera La to the peak is steady with a spectacular mountain vista of the Himalayas to the eastern region in Nepal. The peaks including Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho-Oyu (8201m),  Makalu (8463m), Nuptse (7855m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), and Chamlang (7319m) among many others are noticeable. Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trip preparation
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Chutok (2800 meters) 3 hours.
Day 04: Trek - Col Khari La (3081 meters) to Pangkongma (2950 meters) 6 hours.
Day 05: Pangkoma to Nigmsa (Shibuche)[2745m/90,003ft]: 4-5 hrs
Day 06: Nigmsa (Shibuche) to Chetrakhola [3150m/10332ft]: 7-8 hrs         
Day 07: Chetrakhola to Kothe [3600m/11808ft]: 6-7 hrs     
Day 08: Kothe to Tangnang [4,350m/14,270ft]: 3-4 hrs       
Day 09: Acclimatization Day: Hiking to Charpate Himal Glacier
Day 10: Tangnang to Khare [5,045m/16,486ft]: 2-3 hrs

When to Go: Autumn/Spring,
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport (1345meters).
After you land, you will meet your representative and transfer you to the hotel by a private tourist vehicle. You stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and trip preparation.
After your breakfast, you will be visiting the greatest Pashupatinath; Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and many other places listed in the world heritage grade. After the city tour, you will be checked if you have enough tools for the trip. After everything is set, your evening will be spent in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Chutok (2800 meters) 3 hours.
After your early breakfast, you will be sent to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight to Luka (2804m). The minute you reach there, your guide will deliver short explanation and obtainable posters for your trek to Chutok La Pass (2945m). Your night will be spent in Chutok (2800m) in tented camps.

Day 04: Trek - Col Khari La (3081 meters) to Pangkongma (2950 meters) 6 hours.
 In the morning; soon after your breakfast is done, the trail continues along Mount sides via Khari Khola to camp in Pangkongma. You stay overnight there in tented camps.

Day 05: Pangkoma to Nigmsa (Shibuche)[2745m/90,003ft]: 4-5 hrs.
After the early breakfast, your trail inclines the stony route leading to the rhododendron forest. You go via hills, tea houses and ridges to reach a small village to have your lunch. Stunning views of Mera Peak and Naulekh Peak awaits you in your path ahead. Afterward, the trail continues through a forested and sloppy area. You get to experience the high charming feeling when you walk through the forest of Pine and Rhododendron to reach Nigmsa (Shibuche). You make your camp there and stay for the night.

Day 06: Nigmsa (Shibuche) to Chetrakhola [3150m/10332ft]: 7-8 hrs.  
After the breakfast, you start your trail walking on slopes, zigzag ways and through rhododendron and bamboo forest. You have your lunch by the side of a crystal clear stream. Later, you go through a dense forest and you might be able to see wild animals if you are lucky. Tonight, you camp up in Chhatra Khola.

Day 07: Chetrakhola to Kothe [3600m/11808ft]: 6-7 hrs.
After the early breakfast in camps, you start your trail to reach a fine vantage point of Hinku valley where you will be surrounded by natural beauties. Walking through bamboo and pine forest, you can enjoy the views of Hinku valley and the great Mera. You will have your lunch after you pass Tashing Dingma in a tea house. After lunch, your trail continues through the ridge of the river in Hinku valley to reach all the way top to Kothe (3600m). You stay overnight in camps in Kothe.

Day 08: Kothe to Tangnang [4,350m/14,270ft]: 3-4 hrs.
Today, you trek along the point of Hinku Khola in the shadow of Mera Peak to reach Gondishung where you will have your lunch. After lunch, you will go through a 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa where you find Mera Peak drawn on a rock along with its route. Later, you take a short walk to reach Thangnang where you could find lodges and shops. You stay overnight in Thangnang in tented camps.

Day 09: Acclimatization Day: Hiking to Charpate Himal Glacier.
Today is the rest day. You just walk 3 hours up to Charpate Himal Glacier to get a view of Mera Peak. Later when you are done enjoying views, you hike back to the camp in Thangnang to stay overnight.

Day 10: Tangnang to Khare [5,045m/16,486ft]: 2-3 hrs. 
After the early breakfast, you head towards Mera Base Camp in Khare. You will follow the adjacent debris of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka. The path climbs via moraines and to the nose of Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers to reach your camping place in Khare. The experience in Khare is something that you would never forget in your entire life. Tonight, you stay in Khare in tents.

Day 11: Khare to Mera Base Camp [5300m/17,384ft]: 3-4 hrs.
Today, you will have a short trek but a harsh one. You climb up to Mera Glacier and you have to walk on snow for around half an hour. Along the way, you get to view the outrageous Mera Peak. After sliding around 100m, you will finally reach Mera Base Camp where you will stay overnight.

Day 12: Mera Base Camp to High camp [5,780m/18,958ft]: 4-5 hrs.
Today, you climb up towards high camp where ways will be covered in ice. Along the track, you get a view of the stunning Mount Everest (8848m), Mount Cho Oyu (8201m), Mount Lhotse, Mount Kanchenjunga and many high elevations. The high camp is located at the base of big rock which offers quite a view of the beautiful sunshine and sunset.

Day 13: Mera High Camp to Summit [6,461m/21,1907ft] and back to Khare [5045m/16,547ft]: 8-9 hr.
This is your big day. You wake up around 3 am, finish your breakfast and get ready for the trail. Later, your group will manage gears that are needed for the climb. After everything is set, you will head towards the summit. If your team is well-acclimatized, it should take around 5-6 to reach the summit. From the summit, stunning views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Makalu (8,463m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,855m), Lhotse (8,516m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) Ama Dablam (6,812m) Kangtega (6,779m) and several peaks exceeding six thousand. Later when you achieve the summit, you fall down towards the high camp and get hot soups or tea. You stay overnight in tents in Khare.

Day 14: Reserve Day for Contingency.    
In a case of bad weather or if you are unable to attain summit on day 13, this day (day 14) is reserved for such cases. Someone in the group might get problems in acclimatizing well, this day can be used in such conditions as well but if the trail goes without any problems, we might not need this day.

Day 15: Khare to Kothe [3600m/11808ft]: 4-5 hrs.
After the success of Mt. Mera, you fall back to Hinku valley to Kothe for setting up camps there. After everything is set, you can enjoy local wines and food. You stay overnight in camps.
Day 16: Kothe to Thuli Kharka: 5-6 hrs.
After the breakfast, you climb around two hours via the lush forest of Hinku Valley to the Kharka. It’s a nice walk via Rhododendron forest with compressed trace, afterward. Along the way, you can grasp the wide ranges of Mera peaks. You stay overnight in Thuli Kharka today.

Day 17: Thuli Kharka to Lukla: 6-7 hrs.
2 hours from Thuli Kharka, you walk to reach Zatrwa La Pass. After the pass, you get a view of the beautiful Lukla valley. From Zatrwa, you walk down to Chutanga and the easy hike takes us to Lukla village where you settle your trek for today. In the evening, you relish the last dinner on the mountain with your group. Overnight in Teahouse.

Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu.
After the breakfast, you will be sent off to Lukla airstrip which is known as the most dangerous airport in the world. There you can have photographs with your crew while your representative will fill out the paper works for you. Once everything is set, you will fly back to the capital city Kathmandu. You stay overnight in Kathmandu at a hotel.

Day 19: Departure Day.
Today is the last day of the trip so you can go shopping and grab souvenirs for your relatives. The minute you are ready for the flight, your representative will drop you at the airport for the final departure.
